Burning Building

Burning Building Process

This project I have not completed it yet but, its basically just a burning building.  I went into after effects and made a pretty simple fire animation and smoke animation and timed it well to make a very simple building make it look like it was burning.

In After Effects I did a bubble effect, to make the fire and the smoke.  If you go in and change the colors.  You can change the the bubble edge to make it not look so much like a bubble.  I was satisfied with how I made the smoke and fire look.

Project

I learned how to use After Effects to my advantage.  You can make quite a bit of stuff with it, fire is just the start of it.   You can make expositions like what you see at the movies in After Effects.   If I were to do anything different on this is to finish it, haha.  I felt like I could have spent more of my time making this become more of a story.
Sorry for the bad video quality.
For the building i just put squares.  I was not too satisfied with that.  I made the fire too realistic for the environment.   I could add the fire in my other projects, to actually make a good video.

Overall I did not really like this project, just because I did not spend a whole lot of time on the project itself.  If I were to do anything different I would spend more time on the project.

Real or Hoax Site

The picture above show is a picture of what the
Home page looks like.

Real or Hoax

I was given the chance to make a website in Adobe Dreamweaver, with multiple windows.   The site name is the Real or Hoax?  It had seven different links.  It is a little time consuming to make all those links.  Each of the like have different thing that would either be real or hoax.  But if you just stay organized you will do fine.  I like to do blue color schemes because it makes the website feel a little bit more modern.  Blue is also a good color for technology.  Although I feel like the color clash a little bit.  So it could change in the near future.

How it's made

This project took me a total of about three hours.  You start out by making the HTML and adding the divs to separate everything out.  You make a div for The wrap, which everything goes in the wrap.  Then the Header, which is at the top of the page.  Then this is the Main, which is where all the information goes.  The sidebar, had the main links in it.  Last but not least, the footer, which has the updated date.

Next you start to make the CSS for the website, basically is how you make the site look pretty. You use CSS for everything.  Like the boxes around the the links, or making the main div have curve edges.  (Border Radius).

I took in some knowledge that I had never really messed around with in coding at all.  Like if I wanted to make links in the sidebar look different as the sidebars in the main.  You would go into the css and make a more specific route of where you want the certain links to look.    I was having some problems with the links, they were wanting to go really close to each other.  If you look on the picture to the left you can see some spacing between all the links.  I had to go up to my teacher Mr. Olson and ask what to do.
he ended up adding some padding to the links in the CSS and that mostly fixed my problem.  I also had a rookie mistake and forgot a # in the CSS so nothing was happening when I was changing the code.
If you look right at the bottom of the grey
section you can see the bad link.

What could change differently for next time

In my opinion I would want to change the color Scheme, both blue shades seem to clash together.  I would also add a background image in for the next project, it's pretty boring when it's just white and no fun to the website.  I would change what the links look like in the main part of the website, if you look closely you can see it's just the default link, and I really hate the default.  The line really makes it look tacky in my opinion.
